(ii) HiShort mobile applications (“Apps”).
We are dedicated to protecting the privacy rights of anyone who interacts with our services (“users” or “you”). We may process your personal information when you use our services. This Policy is meant to help you understand the ways we collect, store, use, and manage the information, including personal information, that you provide or that we collect in connection with our services and what rights and choices you have in relation to your personal information we hold and process.
Please note this Policy only applies to information processed by HiShort through your use of our services. The Policy does not apply to, and HiShort is not responsible for, the information processing practices of other companies and organizations that advertise our services or put links in our websites and Apps. Any link to these third party sites does not constitute our sponsorship of, endorsement of, or affiliation with these third parties.
By using our services, you confirm you have read and understood this Policy and the processing of your personal information, in the manner provided in this Policy. You should have read and fully understood this Policy before engaging with our services. If you do not agree to the Policy, it may result in the failure of our services to function properly or to achieve the intended purposes, and you shall immediately stop accessing/using our services.
We determine why and how we process your personal information and we are responsible for your personal data. For residents in the EU, we are the data controller of your personal information when you use our services.
We collect your personal information primarily to make it easier and more satisfying for you to use our services, and the information you provide helps us achieve this goal. You understand and agree that we hope to provide perfect products and services. Therefore, we will continue to improve our products and services, which means that with their iteration, expansion and upgrade, we may require the collection of new types of personal information.
(i) Create an account and log in
When you use our Apps, you could create your HiShort account; we will collect your email address, nickname, and password during the registration process.
(ii) Social Login
You may also be able to log in using services like Facebook Connect, Apple’s Application Center or Google ID. These third-party platforms authenticate your identity and share personal information such as account name, avatar, and email address as permitted by your settings.
(iii) User ID
We create a unique HiShort User ID to track your use of our services, which is stored in connection with your profile across devices.
(iv) Browse and Watch (Telemetry)
When you interact with our services, we automatically collect browser type/language, IP address, device ID (IDFA/GAID/UUID), hardware/software info, advertising ID, application play data (including episode count, duration), server logs, and purchase histories.
(v) Top-up and Payment
While purchasing virtual currency, we may share your order number and User ID with third-party providers like Google Pay or Apple Pay. We collect order info, transaction records from our primary database provider Supabase, and virtual property info.
(vi) Customer Service & Communications
We collect email addresses and metadata provided during support COMMUNICATIONS via hishortdrama@gmail.com, including chat messages and technical logs.
(vii) Security & System Integrity
We collect and integrate account, transaction, device, and log info to detect phishing, commercial fraud, and unwanted network intrusions to protect the Service.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
We utilize rigorous technical measures (SSL/TLS encryption, data desensitization, multi-factor authentication) and administrative controls (privileged access monitoring restricted to essential employees). We handle security incidents by notifying affected users and required regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable laws.

Google Analytics & Firebase
Collects device identifiers and behavioral interactions to diagnose stability and compile service reports.
Sensors Data SDK
Aggregates hardware architecture details (Android ID/IDFA/UUID) to calibrate video quality of experience (QoE).
Mux Video & Supabase
Facilitates global video delivery and maintains the primary user database, including watch history and virtual balances.
AdMob & AppsFlyer
Manages advertising attribution and facilitates the delivery of interest-based advertisements.
Legal Disclosures: We may share data to comply with subpoenas, protect our rights, investigate fraud, or in connection with a business transition (merger/acquisition).
HiShort does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 14. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 14, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe a child under 14 has provided us with data, please contact hishortdrama@gmail.com.
Information collected may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. HiShort JSC ensures adequate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to project your personal information.
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account info. You can perform self-service deletion via In-App Settings.
Control push notifications via device settings and opt-out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link in emails.
We may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the Service. We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically to stay informed.
